1.1 Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier, just follow the instructions below:

1. Add your chosen items the shopping basket.

2. Proceed to select your shipping option from the drop down bar.

3. Continue to the Checkout.

4. You will be required to fill out your Billing Information and then the Delivery Information. Please make sure correct information is provided, any inaccuracies in address should be notified immediately once order confirmation is received, as once an order has been despatched, J & L Toys cannot be held responsible for goods delivered to incorrect delivery address.

5. If delivery is required to the Billing Address, there is an option to copy over the details.

6. If Delivery is to a different address, please enter this separate address in the Delivery Information Section. Please make sure correct information is provided, any inaccuracies in address should be notified immediately once order confirmation is received, as once an order has been despatched, J & L Toys cannot be held responsible for goods delivered to incorrect delivery address.


7. All of our payments are made through Paypal

8. If you already have a Paypal account then this should be no problem, if you don't have a paypal account please follow their instructions on creating an account.

9. Once your order has been placed, a confirmation email will be sent to your email inbox, this will detail your order along with your individual order reference.

10. Once your order is ready for despatch, J & L Toys will issue an email stating despatch information.
Please note: Some products carry notices of "Only one per customer", this is per order. Any subsequent or duplicate orders received will be treated as single orders and despatched as single orders.

1.2 Cancellation of an order

You can cancel the goods within 7 working days of placement of an Internet order. If goods have been despatched or received within this period, the cost for returning the item is the customers responsibility.

We regret that postage, packing and insurance are direct costs and cannot be refunded. Please ensure when returning an item that it is returned in it's original packaging and all contents are included.

If goods have not been despatched , we will cancel the order and issue a refund accordingly. Please allow up to 7 days for the refund to be processed.




1.3 Return of Unwanted Goods

Unwanted goods must be returned within 7 days of purchase, in their original packaging complete with all labels and instructions, at the purchaser's expense.

The purchase price only will be refunded once the unwanted item has been received and processed. We regret that postage, packing and insurance are direct costs and cannot be refunded. Please allow up to 7 working days for the refund to be processed.

We recommend that you send the item/items by recorded delivery or obtain a Certificate of Posting , as we cannot be held responsible for goods that don't arrive.

Please ensure when returning an item that it is returned in it's original packaging and all contents are included, if the item is in a blister pack (clear plastic sealed around the edge) please make sure it has not been opened as we can not re-sell it therefore the item cannot be returned.

We can not accept any items without the original invoice as proof of purchase.

Once returned items have been received at J & L Toys, we will email to confirm receipt.

1.4 Return of Faulty Goods - Exchange for Faulty Goods

If you believe the item you have received is faulty, please contact us within 2 working days either by phone or email.

An alternative product of similar value will be offered or a replacement or full product refund.

You are responsible for any returned goods until they reach us. We strongly advise that you use recorded delivery or obtain a Proof of Posting Certificate when returning any part of your order, as you are responsible for returning the goods to us.

We will refund the cost of the postage you have paid to return the faulty item to us. Please allow upto 7 working days for the refund to be processed.

Please ensure when returning an item that it is returned in it's original packaging and all contents are included. Products can only be returned within a 6 month period from date of purchase.

We can not accept any items without the original invoice as proof of purchase.

Once the returned items have been received at J & L Toys, we will email to confirm receipt.

For Exchanges, we will issue a replacement product upon receipt of the item being returned by the customer to J & L Toys. All documentation that the item came with will need to be enclosed along with original packaging.

1.5 Free Delivery

"Free delivery on single orders of £100 or more" which means any orders placed to the value of £100 prior to any delivery charges added will qualify for the delivery. Unfortunately, we can only offer this service the UK Mainland Only, this does not include Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Channel Islands and Scottish Isles or International Deliveries.

Delivery will either by City Link Courier, Royal Mail Standard Parcels or Royal Mail Recorded Delivery.

Where "Free Delivery" is available, please note, that if two attempts at delivery are failed attempts (where parcel not delivered), a Delivery Charge will apply for a 3rd attempt at delivering goods. This applies to any subsequent requests for re-delivery of an order.

If an order is requested to be cancelled after 2 failed delivery attempts, the refund will be less the delivery charge for returning goods to J & L Toys & less the intial delivery charge incurred for J & L Toys to despatch goods.




1.6 Standard Delivery

Standard Delivery is by Royal Mail - delivery could either be by Standard Parcels or Recorded Delivery Service.

Recorded Delivery parcels will require a signature on delivery.

If a parcel is too heavy to send by Royal Mail, J & L Toys will email to inform the Customer that delivery will be via City Link.


1.7 Courier Delivery or Special Next Day Delivery

City Link are who we use for our courier deliveries and Special Next Day is by Royal Mail.

City Link is available to UK Mainland Only, a surcharge may apply if selected for Highlands of Scotland or Scottish Isles. J & L Toys will inform the Customer if this option is selected, via email.

Courier Deliveries will require a signature on receipt of parcel/s.

Please make sure when completing delivery information, that you detail an address where you will be able to take delivery, this is to avoid re-delivery charges.

1.8 International Delivery

Please email for a shipping quote prior to ordering.



1.9 Northern Ireland, Irish Republic, Channel Isles & Scottish Isles Delivery

Please email prior to ordering, as some heavier items will need to be quoted for shipping.

If an order is received where no quote has been requested, we will contact you via email to inform you of the cost of shipping to your chosen destination.

Where a 2kg limit is set on a shipping destination to Channel Isles, Irish Rep, Northern Ireland and Scottish Isles, that already shows on the Shipping Options and the final weight exceeds 2kg, J & L Toys reserves the right to charge for extra postage if this selection is picked at checkout and no quote has been requested prior to ordering.

J & L Toys will contact the customer via email to inform them if the order exceeds the weight limit of 2kg.

Free upgrades to 24 hour delivery are only available on UK Mainland deliveries only.

2.0 Delayed Delivery

Where parcels may have been delayed less than 7 working days from despatch, please hold tight as it may have been held up by unusual circumstances.

If parcels are delayed for a longer period of time, please bear with us whilst we trace it, as any loss cannot be dealt with by our carriers until at least 15 working days from despatch.




2.1 Delivery/Despatch Times

We aim to despatch all goods within 7 working days, unless otherwise stated in product description, however, we cannot be responsible for the performance of the delivery company or companies which we use.

Royal Mail state for first or second class allow 3-5 working days.

A Courier is a 24 hour from despatch delivery service. We will not be held responsible for the performance of the delivery company.




2.2 Re-Delivery of Goods where applicable

Re-delivery of goods - If the goods are returned to J & L Toys, then a re-delivery charge will apply or refund of goods less delivery charges will be made.

If goods have 2 failed attempts at being delivered and not successful, a 3rd attempt will incurr further postage costs.

If goods are returned to J & L Toys and delivery was by Courier, the refund will be less the return delivery charge to us plus the original delivery charge.


2.3 Delivery Damage

Please do not accept or sign for an order which is visibly damaged.




2.4 Discrepancies

Any discrepancies must be reported within 24hours of receiving goods only.




2.5 Pre Orders or Orders in-advance of stock being obtained.

Due to administration costs and direct costs, refunds will be the full purchase price less 15%.

Any pre-order items ordered at the same time as items in stock, will be despatched all together in one parcel once the pre-order item/s are available.




2.6 Offers

We can only hold "Special Offers", "Offers", "gifts" of any "deductions" open for 12 hours from reminder by email, we will automatically despatch the original order (without the "Special Offers", "Offers", "gifts" of any "deductions") 12 hours after the original order was received if no email confirmation has been received within this time frame.



2.7 Delivery Schedule Christmas

Please note, due to the amount of orders processed, despatch may be delayed by 1-2 days.

During December, J & L Toys issues notices advising customers of last order dates for despatch prior to Christmas, these will appear on our websites and shopping cart.

Orders received through the Christmas period will be despatched in accordance with the Christmas Notices issued on our websites.




2.8 Prices and Delivery Charges.

We will always try to make our prices with delivery within the high street prices, however, this is not always possible. Please find below our delivery charges.

For orders received before 12pm Midday, we will aim to despatch the same day although this is not guarenteed (Monday - Friday and excluding weekends/bank holidays).

From £0.01 to £5.00 the delivery charge is £3.75.
From £5.01 to £15.00 the delivery charge is £4.75.
From £15.01 to £30.00 the delivery charge is £5.95.
From £30.01 to £50.00 the delivery charge is £8.95.
From £50.01 to £70.00 the delivery charge is £9.95.
From £70.01 to £99.99 the delivery charge is £11.95.

Orders which total £100.00 and above will be FREE - J & L Toys will determine the company and method we use for delivery of goods.

24 hour delivery is available for UK Mainland Delivery Only, please contact us before ordering and we can provide you with a quote.

For Overseas delivery charges (e.g. The Republic of Ireland) please email with details of the items you wish to purchase and we will provide you with a quote.

24hr delivery is at extra cost and does not include Saturday as a delivery day. If this option is picked at checkout on a Friday, the next delivery day will be the following Monday for 24hr service.

Please note, if this option is picked after 12pm Midday, the goods will despatched the next working day.

Special Next Day Delivery before 1pm is at extra cost and is subject to a 2kg limit.

Unless otherwise stated. All delivery times are from despatch and can be delayed by volume of orders received.

Multiple items ordered on one order will all be despatched at the same time. This includes pre-orders and in stock orders placed at the same time on one order.

We reserve the right to change our terms and conditions and our product prices at any time, these will reflect our supplier and operating costs.
